Ray L. Crisp, 83, of Gastonia passed away September 17, 2018 at his residence.
He was born April 10, 1935 in Graham County, the son of the late Enoch and Lela Crisp.
A special thanks to my sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Jerry Green for their loving care and assistance during his time of illness.
He is survived by his loving wife of over 65 years, Mary Daphine Crisp; sons, Michael Crisp and wife, Cathy, and Charles Crisp and wife, Jane; granddaughter, Jennifer Crisp High; great-grandson, Harrison High; brother, Walter Crisp and wife, Sis; and sisters, Catherine Droughn and Virginia Braswell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Oliver, James, Howard, and Floyd Crisp and sister, Evelyn Wilbanks.
A funeral service, officiated by Jimmy Ray Green, will be held 11 am Thursday, September 20, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service- South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054 or Church of Christ, 1919 New Hope Road, Gastonia, NC 28054.
