Nathan Dwain Ray

Nathan Dwain Ray, 34, of Bessemer City, passed away, Tuesday, May 21, 2019 in Myrtle Beach, SC.
He was born February 1, 1985 in Gaston County, NC, son of Tammy Sue Smith Ray and the late Coit Ray III.
Nathan loved to fish, he enjoyed surfing, loved to draw and spending time at the beach. He was a sweet and caring person with a heart of gold.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Kathryn Ray and Hilda Lovell.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Chip Ray (Kristy), Nicholas Ray (Lindsay), and Joshua Ray; sister, Gena Alexis Ray; grandfather, Coit R. Ray Jr.; niece Lakelyn Ray; and nephew, Gavin Ray.
A celebration of life officiated by Pastor David Caldwell, will be held 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
Family will receive friends, 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
