Agnes Bates Brooks

Agnes Bates Brooks, 91, formerly of Lowell, NC, passed away, Tuesday, December 10, 2019 at The Ivy, Gastonia, NC.
She was born, May 29, 1928 in Macon County, NC, daughter of the late Samuel Lonnie Bates and Lassie Mae Watts Bates.
Agnes was retired from Pharr Yarns after 35 plus years of service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Shirley Callaway; and brothers, Bobby, Kenneth and Dean Bates.
Agnes is survived by her daughter, Leigh Dreamer of Columbia, SC; brother, Murrell Bates of Asheville, NC; sisters, Dorothy Stamey of Dallas, NC and Deloris Blanton of Mt. Holly, NC; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
