Zennie Carolyn Johnson

Zennie Carolyn Johnson, 81, of Gastonia, passed away March 11, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

She was born September 28, 1935, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Edgar Carswell and Annie Bell Dye Carswell.

Left to cherish her memories are her loving husband Ramon Johnson Jr.; son Herman Johnson and wife Sandy; daughter Wanda Broughton; grandchildren Brian Johnson and Justin Broughton; great-grandson Hunter Johnson; brothers; Harold and Charles Carswell; sisters Lucille Huggins, Linda Macdonnell.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers Earle and Everett Carswell.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Jerry Millwood, will be held 3:00 pm Friday, March 17, 2017 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park.
