Yvonne Mack, born on February 14, 1940, and grew up in Bessemer City. She lived a life rooted in family, beauty, and simple joys. Yvonne had a deep love for flowers and gardening, finding peace and purpose in nurturing living things. She also loved the mountains, especially in the fall, when the changing leaves painted the landscape with God's artistry.
She was preceded in death by parents, Jack Mack and Ethel Poteat Mack; brother, JD Mack; and sisters, Doris Mack Inman, Naomi Mack, and Anita Mack Carpenter. Yvonne leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory.
She is survived by daughters Donna Peck (Mark), daughter Annette Armstrong (Rusty), sons, Bill Hull (Amy), Joshua Saunders, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings; Robert Mack, Janice Pendleton, Michael Mack, and Susan Pendleton.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, January 23, 2026, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Dickie Spargo. The family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 am at the funeral home. Yvonne will be laid to rest at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
Yvonne will be remembered for her sweet spirit, her love of nature, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those who knew her. Her legacy lives on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, and all who were blessed to call her family and friend.
