Woody Lunsford

Woody Lunsford, 66, of Gastonia, passed away March 30, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born September 18, 1956, in Fairfax County, Virginia to Emily Martin Lunsford and the late Paul Cecil Lunsford.

Woody was a member of Linden ARP Church.  He was a loving son, father, grandfather, and brother.  He was an avid golfer and all-around sports enthusiast.  He loved to sing and dance.

In addition to his father, Woody was preceded in death by a brother, Ted Lunsford, and special uncle, Doug Martin.

In addition to his mother, Woody is survived by his son, Doug Lunsford, and fiancé, Arrikka Montgomery; daughter, Chasity Mauney and David; wife and mother of his children, Rhonda Williams; brother, Mickey Cecil Lunsford and wife, Betty; sister, Bridgette Imai; and grandchildren, Jordan Lunsford, Ryder Mauney, Kira Mauney, and Jaxon Lunsford; special son, Jemar Knox.

A service to celebrate Woody's life will be held Thursday, April 6, 2023, at 12:00 pm, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.  Interment will follow the service at Gaston Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
