Winona Carol Allran Beaty

Winona Carol Allran Beaty, 83, of Gastonia, passed away November 29, 2016 at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

She was born October 1, 1933, a native of Gaston County, the daughter of the late Charles Steele Allran and Kathryn Suzanne Bartlett Allran.

Winona was a long time member of First Free Will Baptist Church in Gastonia where she was also a member of the Golden Age Club.  She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and loved sports, especially football and tennis.

Left to cherish her memories are her son Jeffrey S. Beaty and girlfriend Stephanie J. Braley; daughter Mary Kathryn "Kathy" Beaty; brother Michael B. Allran and wife Jean of Florida and grandchild Brittany K. Gallagher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Craig G. Beaty; brother Charles Forest Allran Sr. and sister Peggy Jean Allran Smith.

A funeral service, officiated by Pastors John Gibbs and Darin Gibbs, will be held 2 pm Saturday, December 3, 2016 at First Free Will Baptist Church, 2316 Union Road, Gastonia.

The receiving of friends and family will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.

Burial will be in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
