Wilma "Jean" Dempsey, 68 of 426 Dallas Stanley Hwy., Dallas, NC, passed away, Monday, December 7, 2020 at her home.
She was born May 2, 1952, a native of Gaston Co, NC, daughter of the late Turner Wells Baker and Ella Mae Wright Baker.
Mrs. Dempsey used to work in cotton textiles and the Waffle House, formerly located on 321 North Gastonia. She enjoyed sitting on the porch with a good cup of coffee and cigarette with Molly and Steve Rumfelt, Rebecca's parents.
In addition to her parents, Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Dempsey; brothers, James Messer, Jimmy Messer, Bill Messer, Jerry Messer, Albert Baker, Denny Baker, Mike Baker and Randy Baker; and sisters, Carolyn Patterson and Jackie Propst.
Jean is survived by her children, David Pearson and Rebecca, Michael Pearson, Angela Dempsey and Eric Dempsey; sibling, JoAnn Houser; grandchildren, Kelly Bobo and Amanda Bone; and great-grandchildren, Jaxon Bone and Kensley Bone.
All services are private.
