Willie Mae Posey (Bill)

Willie Mae Posey (Bill) 80, of Gastonia, passed away December 12, 2013, at Kings Mountain Hospice House. She was born June 29, 1933, in Gaston County to the late Ira Lee Smith and Maude Barker Smith. Mrs. Posey was a member of Zion Baptist Church, Gastonia. A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Monday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Leo Kuykendall. The family will receive friends 3:00 - 4:00 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. Mrs. Posey is survived by: 5 stepchildren; numerous nieces and nephews: and one sister , Ruby Ledford. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by: her husband, Eugene Posey; brothers, Ira Lee Smith Jr., Carl Edward Smith and Robert Delano Smith.
