William Roy Woodard Sr, a beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away on June 5, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on August 19, 1948, in North Carolina, Roy dedicated his life to his family and work serving as a supervisor at a Lithium Corporation before retiring to enjoy the simpler pleasures in life.

Roy was a hands-on guy who loved working on cars and had a passion for fishing, especially when it meant spending time with his children. He was an adventurous spirit who enjoyed traveling, but he always found joy in the little things, like taking care of his beloved cats.

He leaves behind his wife, Brenda Woodard, and his son, William "Bill" Woodard Jr. (Marisa) and a daughter Shelly Ahr; grandchildren Jake Ahr (Courtney), Brandon Ahr and Kylie Ahr; stepchildren; Jeff Williams and Lisa McGruther. Grandchildren; Jennifer Williams, Kenney Eaves and Jordan McGruther and 6 great grandchildren (Rayelynn, Lincoln, Destiney, Aliyah, Lil Kenney, and Hailey). Roy will be remembered for his kindness, humor, and the love he shared with those around him.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Greene Funeral Service - West Chapel on June 15, 2026, at 4:00pm - 6:00pm.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Doris Woodard.

Gone, but never forgotten, Roy will be missed by all who knew him.
