William "Bill" Wilson Jr.

William "Bill" Wilson Jr., 65, Bessemer City, NC, passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

He was born on November 19, 1956, a native of Gaston Co., NC, to the late William Nelson Wilson Sr., and Frances Lee (Bridges) Wilson.

Bill loved to smoke barbeque, he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, fast cars, and spending time with the grandchildren.

Bill is survived by his wife of 40 years, Peggy Wilson; sons, William Nelson Wilson III (Brittany Godfrey) and James Wilson; daughter, April Laney (Kala); brothers, Bob Wilson (Nancy) and Ben Wilson (Jeanette); grandchildren, Connor Sossamon, Aidan Redmon, and Paul Nealy.

A gathering of family and friends will be held from 3:00 – 5:00 pm, Sunday, May 15, 2022, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.
