William "Bill" Watts

William "Bill" Watts, 76, of Gastonia, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, January 18, 2021.

He was born on September 15, 1944 in Clover, SC to Ralph "Jack" Watts and Frances Barker Rabb.

Bill was a member of Ridge Baptist Church in Gastonia. He was an avid racing fan and loved cutting grass.

He was preceded in death by his father and stepmother, Ralph and Marileigh Watts; mother and stepfather, Frances and Cecil Rabb; mother-in-law, Cora Lee Sanders; siblings, Geraldine "Sissy" Smith and Andy Watts; and grandson, David Kristofer Lindsay, Jr.

Left to cherish Bill's memories are his loving wife of 54 years Minnie Sanders Watts; children, Tammy Dotson and husband Steve of Kings Mountain, NC, Kim Dabney and husband Terry of Clover, SC, and James Watts and wife Beth of Clover, SC; brother, Chris Watts; grandchildren, Brad Crumbley and wife Melinda, Ashley Abernathy and husband Jeremy, Jonathan Crumbley, Jessica Shipley and husband Brian, Hunter Dabney, Jay Watts, Jake Watts, and Wyatt Watts; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service for Mr. Watts will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service- 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Interment will follow at Gaston Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made out to Testa Hospice House – 321 Kings Mountain Blvd, Kings Mountain, NC 28086
