William Douglas Smith Sr.

William Douglas Smith Sr., 73, of Dallas, passed away January 14, 2025, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House of Dallas.

He was born April 23, 1951, in Gaston County, son of the late Adam Albert Smith and Doris Cordell Smith.

He proudly served in the US Army.

William loved his family and always put their needs before his.

One of his favorite things to do was to watch television and catch up on all his favorite programs.

All Service will be private.

William is survived by his sons, William Douglas Smith Jr. (Amanda), Justin Lee Smith; sister, Debbie Maloy; grandchildren, William Smith (Kindra), Kayla Poston, Aiden Holloway, Nathan Dean (Kaitlyn); great-grandchildren, Zeke Bolin, Mason Poston; nephew, Johnny Tindoll.

In addition to his parents, William was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Lee Smith.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
