William "Ray" Owens, 84, of Gastonia, NC, passed away, Monday, April 20, 2020 at CaroMont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia, NC.
He was born July 3, 1935 in Clover, SC, son of the late Marshall Lewis Owens Sr. and Sallie Teague Owens.
Ray was employed at Food Lion, Dallas for over 16 years.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Edward Owens; and stepson, Fred Ingram Jr.
Ray is survived by his loving wife of over 28 years, Hazel Owens; daughters, Taylor Lynn Owens and Marie Clark; step-children, Earl Barnes, Bruce Barnes, Sue Krumlinde, Cynathia Coomey and Tina Rhodes; brothers, Pastor Marshall Owens and wife Linda and Richard Owens and wife Jeniene; sisters, Shelby Canipe, Mary Walker, Shirley Lewis and Patricia Bradley; 12 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
All services are private.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
