William Colison Newnam

William Colison Newnam, 96, of Clover SC, passed away on Thursday, September 11, 2025. He was born on January 6, 1929 in Chestertown Maryland, to the late Howard and Edith Newnam. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife Arlene; brother John; sister Sally.

Left to cherish his memory are his son Wayne Newnam (Donna) of Clover; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Bill joined the US Air Force after graduation from high school and then retired after twenty-eight years as a chief master sergeant. During his career, his son and wife traveled with him throughout the United States and Europe. After he retired from the US Air Force, he spent several more years working for Fitzgerald Contractors in Shreveport, LA.

Bill was a caring and loving man, who had many friends throughout his lifetime. A graveside service to celebrate Bill's life will be held by the family at Centuries Memorial Cemetery, Shreveport, LA.
