William Newman

On Saturday, August 29th, the Lord called William Marshall Newman home. Left to cherish his memory and pass on his heritage is his wife, Nancy Honeycutt Newman; siblings and spouses, Carolyn and Charles Renner, George and Rebecca Newman; sons and wives, Marshall, Jeffery, Gregory, John and Ashley Newman; step-sons and wives, Eric and Rosie, Gregory and Teri, Joseph and Cindi Laskowski; adopted children, Cheryl Newman and Scott Benfield; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; life-time friends, Jo Ann Burgess and David Snyder. A celebration of his life will be held 7 pm Monday at Praise Temple Family Worship Center, 109 W. Church St., Dallas. The service will be officiated by Rev. Dean Harris, Rev. Gregory Laskowski, and Revs. Andy and Mandy Ballentine. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm Monday at the church, with a dinner provided. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Praise Temple Family Worship Center, 1531 Georgetowne Dr., Gastonia, NC 28054. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
