William "Blowway" N. David

William N. David, known affectionately as "Blowway," passed away on July 31, 2024, in Gastonia, North Carolina, at the age of 86.

Born on February 24, 1938, in East Berbice-Corentyne, Guyana, William led a life marked by dedication to his family and a distinguished career.

William spent many years as an engineer and master plumber at Hoffman la Roche, where his expertise and strong work ethic were greatly valued. His professional life mirrored his personal life, characterized by persistence and resilience.

Beyond his career, William had a passion for baseball, travel, and photography, cherishing opportunities to capture memories with his loved ones. His commitment to his family was profound, often gathering them for memorable occasions and ensuring their happiness and well-being.

He leaves behind a loving family, including his daughters, Audrey David and Tiffany Castellan; grandson, Terrell McRae David; and granddaughter, Teyana David. William is also survived by numerous siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Francis J. Mitchell; his father; his brother, Milton A. Mitchell; and his aunt/sister, Iyocent Fox.

Services will be held at Perry's Funeral Home in Newark, New Jersey. The South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, Gastonia, North Carolina, is assisting the family during this time.

William's life and legacy will be cherished and remembered by all who knew him.
