William "Bill" Jones, Sr.

William "Bill" Thomas Jones, Sr., 82, of Dallas, passed away on Wednesday, March 31, 2021 at his residence.

He was born on March 13, 1939, in Gaston County, to the late Frank Thomas Jones and Lena Mae Badger Jones.

Bill was a member of Impact Community Church in Iron Station, NC. He loved to go fishing, animals, and spending time with his family. Bill enjoyed going to the local auctions.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Naomi Guyton Jones; his brother, Jerry Jones; and sisters, Elene Price, Macey Jones, and Christine Jones.

Left to cherish Bill's memories are his son, Billy Jones and wife Allison; daughters, Annette Beck and husband Buck, and Trena Aldridge and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Tommy and wife Marie Christopher, Jonathan and wife Brittany Christopher, Adam and wife Makenzie Aldridge, Jordan Jones, Austin Aldridge, and Maddie Jones; and great-grandchildren, Gracie Christopher, Andrew Christopher, Peyton Christopher, and Levi Christopher.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. Randall Wright, will be held at 2:00pm on Saturday, April 3, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service- 1503 S York Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday, April 2, 2021 from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm.

Interment to follow the service on Saturday at Union Road Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Union Road Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund – 5615 Union Rd. Gastonia, NC 28056.
