William "Billy" Jones, Jr.

William "Billy" Thomas Jones, Jr., 51, of Gastonia, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Caromont Regional Medical Center.

Born on September 27, 1970, in Lincoln County, NC, he was the son of the late William T. Jones, Sr. and Naomi Guyton Jones.

Billy was a member of Union Presbyterian Church of Gastonia. He was involved in several committees and memberships within the church, including the Cemetery Committee, Building and Grounds Committee, and Presbyterian Men of the Church. Billy loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed farming and being around animals.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Frank and Lena Jones.

Left to cherish Billy's memories are his loving wife, Allison Jones; daughters, Jordan and Maddie Jones; sisters, Trena Aldridge (Bobby) and Annette Creech (Buck); father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Twilah Jordan; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kimberly Morrison (Jason); nieces and nephews, Jonathan (Brittany), Tommy (Marie), Adam (Makenzie), Austin, Kennedy, Brayden, Gracie, Andrew, Peyton, and Levi; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S York Rd, Gastonia, NC.

A funeral service, officiated by Rev. James Holeman, will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Union Presbyterian Church – 5615 Union Rd, Gastonia, NC.

Interment to follow the funeral service at the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to the Union Presbyterian Church Cemetery Fund – 5615 Union Rd, Gastonia, NC.
