William "Bill" Frank Crisp

William "Bill" Frank Crisp, 85, of Belmont, NC, died Saturday, July 8, 2023, at his home, surrounded by his family.

He was born August 15, 1937, in Dillsboro, NC, the son of the late Frank William Crisp and Sina Lawing Crisp.

William was a veteran of the United States Air Force; and he also served as a firefighter with Station #17 at the Charlotte Douglas International Airport.

His family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff of Robin Johnson House for their loving and compassionate care of Bill.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda "Karen" Crisp, of Belmont; sons, Alan Crisp and wife Angela of Mount Holly, Larry Crisp and wife Tina of Gastonia, Barry Crisp and wife Doricia of Gastonia; Darren Crisp and partner Susan Smith of Seneca, SC, and Scott Crisp of Belmont; grandchildren, Tiffany Crisp, Adam Crisp, Deven Crisp, Michael Crisp, Beth Rogers, Staci Mooney, and Falon Campbell, and many extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, at 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 14, 2023, at the funeral home with Rev. William H. Calvert officiating.  Interment will follow the service at Greenwood Cemetery in Belmont, NC.
