William "Joe" Fowler

William "Joe" Fowler, 83, of Huntersville, passed away Monday, February 19, 2018 at Alexandria Place in Gastonia.

He was born on October 26, 1934 in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Roy Fowler and Hassie (Cook) Fowler.

William was a US Army Veteran, he loved his family, he retired from AT&T after 38 years, and he was a member of Excelsior Masonic Lodge #261.

Left to cherish his memories are sons, Jeff Fowler, Jake Fowler and wife Kimberly; daughter, Joanie and Husband Chuck David; grandchildren, Joseph Dorman, Anthony Fowler and Dr. Alex Fowler.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Hardin Fowler; grandchild, Aaron Fowler; brothers, Roy Fowler Jr. and Van Harold Fowler; sister, Grace Cadieu.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m., Friday February 23, 2018, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette.

Family will receive friends Friday, at 2:00 – 2:45 p.m., at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service.

Interment will be at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City.
