William "Rudy" Fender, 80, of Gastonia, passed away on July 13, 2021, at his home.
He was born February 13, 1941, in Gaston County, son of the late John Rudolph Fender and Louise Dodgen Fender.
Rudy loved his grandchildren and enjoyed fishing, boating and being on the water.
Rudy is survived by his wife, Maxine Eaker; son, Steve Fender and wife Leigh Ann; grandchildren, Morgan Lau and husband Derek, and Matt Fender.
A memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, July 18, 2021, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Sam Barnette.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
