William "Bill" Clemouth Chaney

William "Bill" Clemouth Chaney, 86, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2024, at White Oak Manor, Kings Mountain,

He was born December 9, 1937, of Gaston Co, NC, son of the late Fred Chaney and Leota Crisp Chaney.

Bill was a member of Unity Baptist Church, and was an US Army Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude Compton Chaney; and sister, Joan Chaney.

Bill is survived by his aunt, Elsie Chaney; nephews, Rick Barnes, Eric Barnes, Jim Barnes, and Jeff Barnes; and cousins, Gary Chaney, Alvin Chaney, Tony Chaney, and Lori Reel.

A graveside service will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, June 1, 2024, at Gaston Memorial Park - 1200 S New Hope Rd, Gastonia, NC 28054.
