William Livingston "Buddy" Thompson

William Livingston "Buddy" Thompson, a beloved father and grandfather, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at the age of 84. Born in Hayesville, North Carolina on March 18, 1941, Buddy, as he was known to friends and family, spent his life working as a supervisor at Homelite.

Buddy was proud of his time in the Air Force, where he served his country with honor. He carried the values of loyalty and duty throughout his life, always making time for his family, which meant the world to him.

He is survived by his son, Bryan Thompson; grandchildren, Alex Thompson, Ethan Thompson (Emily), Kara Thompson; brother, Wayne Thompson, all who cherishes the many memories they created together.

Buddy was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Thompson; parents, Kermit and Magaline Thompson; sisters, Linda, Phyllis, Pat, and Cindy.

A celebration of Buddy's life will held privately.

Buddy's spirit and gentle heart will be missed, and he will always be remembered for the love he gave to those around him.
