William "Bill" Nanney

William "Bill" Nanney, 60, of Gastonia, passed away July 25, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. He was born November 1, 1951 in Gaston County, son of the late William M. Nanney Jr. and Sybil Angley Nanney A funeral service will be held 3 pm on Sunday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Mike Wilson. The family will receive friends 2-3 pm prior to the service on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. He is survived by: his sons and daughters in-law, Steve and Beverly Dees, Wesley and April Nanney all of Gastonia; brother and sister in-law, Samuel and Nancy Nanney of Norfolk,VA; grandchildren, Kevin Brown, Ashley Hope, Danielle Nanney, Kirk Brown, Lindsey Dees, Jackson Renn, Stephanie Nanney; great grandchildren, Bella, Devon and Emma; special aunts,Gypsy and Shirley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife of 40 years, Sheila Nanney. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O.
