Wilcie Ella Franklin

Wilcie Ella Franklin, 82, of Bessemer City, passed away May 24, 2023, at her home.

She was born August 19, 1940, in Jackson County, NC, daughter of the late Claude Nations and Alva Seagle Nations.

Wilcie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her precious grandchildren. She loved to garden and was very skilled at it. She enjoyed watching the birds that would come and visit in her yard. One of her favorite places to travel was the mountains.

All services will be private.

Wilcie is survived by her son, Jackie Davis and wife Susan of Bolivia, NC; daughters, Wanda Sellers of Bessemer City, Claudette Johnson and husband Van of Gastonia, Nancy Sessoms of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Jacinda Nichols, Jacoby Johnson, Tyler Sessoms, Jessica Davis, Christopher Davis; two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Wilcie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Franklin; brother, Cecil Nations and several other brothers and sisters.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road, Gastonia.
