Wesley Ray Anderson

Wesley Ray Anderson, 65, of Bessemer City, passed away January 15, 2022, at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

He was born September 5, 1956, in Gaston County, son of the late Jessie Ray Anderson and Winnie Faye Eller Anderson.

He was a former member of Sparrow Springs Baptist Church.

Wesley loved fishing with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed karaoke with his family.

He was a very selfless man and was deeply devoted to his family.

A celebration of Wesley's life will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, January 23, 2022, at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, officiated by Levi Worley.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Wesley is survived by his sons, Jessie Anderson (Teresa), Phillip Anderson (Sabrina); daughter, Trina Boyd (Scott); sisters, Janet Spivey, Judy Morgan (Jerry); grandchildren, Keith Necessary, Cole Hamrick, Chance Boyd, Austin Anderson, Nathan Anderson, J.J. Anderson, Brandon Anderson; great-grandchildren, Maverick Boles, Kingston Anderson.

In addition to his parents, Wesley was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife of 39 years, Teresa Anderson; grandson, Shane Necessary; and several siblings.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service, Gastonia.
