Wayne Stephenson

Wayne L. Stephenson fought the good fight and finished his course and now has been Promoted to Glory from his home on Sunday, August 12, 2018.
Wayne is survived by Mary his wife of 32 years, father, sister, brother, children, and grandchildren with one on the way , several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Wayne is pre-deceased by his mother and brother.
Wayne, first of all a follower of Christ, was a man of many hobbies and interests, including: glass art, airplane piloting, photography, cake decorating, dulcimer, brass banding, beekeeping, among others! He loved working with the youth at The Salvation Army in vacation bible school craft, Bible training for corps cadets, and training new recruits for the Salvation War. When asked what was his greatest accomplishments, Wayne answered "My four children." "Honey" will be greatly missed by his family, friends, co-workers at Liberty Tax, church family at The Salvation Army and many more.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service- 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
A funeral service officiated by Captain Jonathan Raymer, will be held 1 p.m., Thursday, August 16, 2018 at The Salvation Army Church- 1506 Union Rd., Gastonia, NC 28054.
Memorials may be made to Salvation Army, PO Box 1094, Gastonia, NC 28053.
Burial will be at Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
