Wayne Spencer

Gastonia, NC Wayne Spencer, 62, passed away August 26, 2013, at Caromont Regional Medical Ctr., Gastonia. He was born November 8, 1950 in Gaston County, son of the late Jackson Goforth Spencer and Willie Mae Haynie Spencer. Mr. Spencer was a member of Flint Groves Baptist Church, Gastonia. He was employed with Fresenius Medical Care. A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday at Flint Groves Baptist Church, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor James Drennan and Rev. Larry Bradley. The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Interment will be held at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. He is survived by: his loving wife of over 39 years, Daisy Tilley Spencer of the home; sons, Byron Lee Spencer and spouse, Amber of Gastonia, Jason Keith Spencer of the home; grandchildren, Aleigha Letterman and Summer Spencer; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
