Wanda Darty Waterson

Gastonia, NC Wanda Darty Waterson, age 59, passed away December 5, 2012, at her home. She was born July 27, 1953 in Lincoln County, daughter of Lester Lee Darty and the late Earlene Willis Darty. Wanda was a member of Bethlehem Church, Gastonia. She was a dedicated teacher for over 32 years in many Gaston County Schools. A memorial service will be held 10 am on Monday at Bethlehem Church, Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Dickie Spargo. The family will receive friends 7-9 pm on Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Interment is private. She is survived by: her husband of 40 years, Lanny Waterson; son, Alex Waterson; daughter, Dana Peeler; grandchildren, Austin and Addison Peeler. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clayton and Vernie Willis, Annie Darty. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P.O.
