Wanda Kay Mauney Harmon, 65, of Gastonia, went to be with Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on July 25, 2015. She was born November 18, 1949 in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Marcus and Frances Loftin Mauney. She grew up in Stanley and was a graduate of Stanley High School Class of 1968. Wanda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law and aunt. She was a member of Pisgah ARP Church and former charter member of New Life Baptist Church in Stanley. She was also a former employee of Danaher Tool Group. Wanda is survived by her son, Robert Brian Harmon and wife, Angie of Louisville, KY; daughter, Mary Harmon of Clover, SC; brothers, Marvin Mauney and wife, Sue of Stanley, Rev. Bill Mauney and wife, Becky of Gastonia; sisters, Sally M. Williams and husband, Dick of Nashville, TN, Marie M. Paysour of Gastonia; grandchildren, Damies and Kaylan Harmon and Russell Stutzman III; one special aunt and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Harmon; brother, Paul Edward Mauney; sisters, Lucille M. Garrison and Ida M. Hamilton and son-in-law, Russell Stutzman, Jr. A celebration of life service will be held 11am Saturday at Pisgah ARP Church, 3600 Linwood Rd., Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Rick Lewis. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be private. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
