Wanda Sue Christopher

Wanda Sue Christopher, 63, of Gastonia, passed away Saturday, December 25, 2021, at the Robin Johnson House in Dallas.

She was born December 12, 1958, in Culpeper, VA, daughter of the late Issac and Susie Ogle.

Wanda grew up and was raised in the Florida Keys.

She was a loving, selfless mother, who placed others before herself.

The family would like to give a special thank you to Amy Cain, the daughter-in-law who was just like a daughter to Wanda and took such great care of her.

In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by her sister, Bonnie Thomasson.

Left to cherish her memories are her sons, John Cain (Amy), Justin Cain (Melissa); daughter, Jennifer Melton (Robbie); sisters, Linda Wilocks, Janice Wilson (Scott), Jane Fletcher; brothers, Mike Peregory, Larry Peregory (Candy), Jimmy Peregory; grandchildren, Christopher Wilson, Johnathan Cain, Analeigh Cain, Alexis Smith, Luke Cain; and great-grandchild, Parker Wilson.

A memorial service, officiated by Pastor Leo Kuykendall, will be held 1pm on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at Zion Baptist Church, 2437 Propst St., Gastonia.

The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
