Wanda Howard Bolding, 73, of Gastonia, passed away July 13, 2015 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. She was born January 12, 1942 in Swain County, the daughter of the late Oscar and Oma Howard. Wanda was a member of Beech Avenue Baptist Church in Gastonia. She loved her family and working crossword puzzles and enjoyed giving out candy to all the children. Left to cherish her memories are her husband of 56 years, Clifford W. Bolding; sons, Randy Bolding, Robert Bolding and Clifford Wayne Bolding Jr. and wife, Michelle; daughter, Jill Hughes and husband, Jerry, Tina Carter and husband, Peanut, Wendy Gilreath and husband, Jimmy; brothers, Ken Howard and wife, Mildred, Wayne Howard and wife, Lynn; sisters, Lucille Lawson and husband, Jack, Ruby Cox and husband, Bill, Betty Jo Martin and Gail Spencer, Debbie Calahan and husband, Roger; 17 grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Maybell Welch, Sue Norman, Ginger Welch, Sherry Haney and Linda Howard. A funeral service will be held 2 pm Friday at Beech Avenue Baptist Church- 1206 W Ashton Ave, Gastonia, officiated by the Rev. Jeff Cook. The family will receive friends 6 - 8 pm Thursday at Greene Funeral Service - South Chapel - 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia. Burial will be in Armstrong Cemetery. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
