Wanda Baynard Benfield

Wanda Baynard Benfield, 57, of Blacksburg, SC, passed away May 16, 2023, at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills Hospice House.

She was born June 22, 1965, in Cherokee County, SC, daughter of the late Nancy Baynard.

Wanda was a loving and devoted mother who did all she could for her family.

She was a very strong lady who had overcome a lot of struggles in her life.

All services will be private.

Wanda is survived by her daughters, Candace Mason and fiancé Jeff Lail, and "Jackie" Jones; six grandchildren Alexus, Andrew, Zac, Evelyn, Eleanor, Emerson; great-grandchildren, Juke, Levi, Kaiden; fiancé Jerry Smith; aunt, Doris Stevens; and numerous cousins.

In addition to her mother, Wanda was preceded in death by her grandparents; aunts, Geraldine and Lucy; uncles, Lenard and Jesse.

Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia.
