Walter "Dub" Fore

Walter "Dub" Fore, 82 of Dallas, passed away November 20, 2014 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born March 15, 1932 a native of Gaston County, son of the late Walter R. Fore, Sr. and Ella Mae Fore. Dub was a veteran of the US Army, a member of Heaven Bound Baptist Church of Bessemer City, a Press Operator and a Shop Steward at Westvaco Corporation. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Dorothy Fore; sons Dean Fore and wife Margaret, Mike McCullough, Scott Fore and wife Teresa, Neil Fore and wife Donna; daughter, Vickie Duck; 8 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Vida Mae Mace and Betty White and great-grandchild, Sydney Davis. A funeral service will be held 3 pm Sunday at Heaven Bound Baptist Church - 428 Costner School Rd, Bessemer City, officiated by Pastor Jason Moore. Visitation will be 2 pm Sunday prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Gaston Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association - 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060-9979. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
