Wade "Hamp" Jones, Sr.

Wade "Hamp" Jones, Sr., 86, of Cramerton, NC, passed away, Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia.

He was born October 28, 1934 in Monroe, NC, son of the late Noah Jones and Ollie Pollock.

Hamp enjoyed fishing and gardening. He loved to listen to the Gaithers and Elvis, he also enjoyed watching Andy Griffith and was a Panthers fan.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, James Warren Jones.

He is survived by his sons, Wade Jones Jr. (Amy), Christopher Jones (Jamie) and Jonathan Jones (Jami); and grandchildren, Jordan Jones, Samuel Jones, Morgan Jones, Staton Jones, Charlotte Jones, Penelope Jones and Haylee Jones.

A celebration of life, officiated by Pastor Ronnie Pressley will be held 11 am on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
