Wade Cameron Childs

Lincolnton, NC Wade Cameron Childs, 55, of Lincolnton, passed away February 26, 2013 at his home. He was born December 17, 1957 in Lincoln County, son of the late Wade Hampton Childs, Jr. and Frances Rand Childs. He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Lincolnton. A memorial service will be held 3 pm on Saturday, March 9, at the First United Methodist Church, Lincolnton, officiated by Rev. David Wyant. Interment is private. He is survived by: his wife, Edna Walters Childs of Lincolnton; son, Andrew Cameron Childs of Lincolnton; step daughters, Heather M. Hutchison of Birmingham, AL, Melissa A. Cokely of Moody, AL; brothers, Rand Childs of Huntsville, AL, Steve Childs of Lincolnton; sister, Rosanne Childs Peticca of Mooresville; one grandchild; three step grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC 28215-3220.
