W. Leon Goodson, Sr.

He was born March 11, 1940, a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Charlie Dewayne Goodson and Lillie Fredell Goodson.

Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Ann Gibson Goodson; children J.R. Goodson and wife Mandee and family, Kim Bolynn and husband Paul and family, Ray Goodson and wife Angela and family; six grandchildren and brother Clay Goodson and wife Louise.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.

A celebration of life service will be held 2 pm Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Mike Coe and the Rev. Sheila Grigg.

The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Olney Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Good News Tabernacle, 1805 Mtn. View Rd., Bessemer City, NC 28016.
