Vivian Robinson

Lincolnton, NC Vivian Robinson, 87, passed away September 18, 2013, at Lincoln Nursing Center. Born June 11, 1926 in Catawba County, Vivian was the daughter of Russell William Robinson and Maude Estelle Moody. Vivian married Johnny Lail on June 28, 1941 and had five children. She worked most of her life building furniture at Hutton Bourbonnais Company. Vivian will be remembered by her family and friends as a fun, caring and compassionate person who had a feisty personality and a smile that would melt your heart. Her spirit, humor and love for family and friends will surely be missed and those who were lucky enough to have known her will forever be blessed. The family would like to express a heart felt appreciation to the wonderful staff at Lincoln Nursing Center for their friendship and loving care provided to "Aunt Vivian" during the past six years. In addition to her parents and husband, Vivian was preceded in death by three of her children, Brady, Dewey and Macie Lail, her sister, Nora Lanier and her good friend, Mildred Shanks. Vivian is survived by her brother, Ronald Jannette and wife, Diana, sister, Gladys Bentley, niece, Donna Mayhew and her husband, Trey, daughter, Juanita Huffman and her husband, George, son, Clyde Lail and his wife Vanessa, many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren, that she loved dearly. Vivian's funeral will be at 3 pm on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at Macedonia Baptist Church, located at 5286 E. Hwy. 150 in Lincolnton, with Dr. Randy Setzer officiating. A private burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Hickory, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until 2:45 pm prior to the service at the church. Memorials may be made to Macedonia Baptist Church, 5286 E. Highway 150, Lincolnton, NC 28092. Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
