Vivian Ann Elgin Vaughn

Ann, 77, passed away quietly on Sunday May 24, 2020 in Hospice Care.  Vivian Ann Elgin was born on September 25, 1942 to Luther Addison and Oris Ophelia Simpson Elgin, both deceased.  She was also preceded in death by her two brothers Jim and Lonnie Elgin. Surviving is her "little sister" Maxine Elgin.  Ann and Maxine have lived together the last 21 years on Crowders Mountain near Gastonia, North Carolina.

All four children were placed in Thornwell Orphanage in the 1950's.

Ann worked for years as a weaver for Burlington Mills.  She will be remembered as always full of life, loving chocolate and joking with people.

Her little dog Pixie brought her many days of comfort as she battled cancer the last few years.

A Memorial Service of her life will be held at 2 PM on Saturday May 30, 2020 at True Vine Church of God, 5348 Lewis Road, Gastonia, North Carolina 28052.

Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd, Gastonia, NC 28052  will be handling the arrangements.
