Virginia Marie Putnam, 96, of Gastonia, passed away on March 22, 2021, at her home.
She was born January 9, 1925, in Cleveland County, daughter of the late Yancy Patterson and Cloise Price Patterson.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, March 25, 2021, at Union Road Baptist Church, 103 Summer Place Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Jack Gouge.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
Mrs. Putnam is survived by her sons, Dennis Putnam and wife Lynn, Dean Putnam and wife Deanie; her daughter, Martha Smith; one brother; four sisters; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Odell Putnam; ; daughter, Patsy Putnam; son, Douglas Putnam.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
