Virginia Ruth Morgan
June 5, 1932 — January 17, 2018
Virginia Ruth Morgan, 85, of Gastonia, passed away January 17, 2018 at Courtland Terrace.
She was born June 5, 1932 in Clay County, the daughter of the late Jerry James Mull and Ruby Davis Mull.
Virginia retired from the former Hill Haven Nursing Home in Gastonia, where she was employed as a private duty nurse.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Myrlyn Huffstetler and husband David Sr. of Gastonia; son William "David" Morgan Sr. of Gastonia; sisters Shelby Jean Black of Bessemer City, Joan Shoemaker of Dalton, GA; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Erman Carl Morgan; sons Marion Carl Morgan and Dane Lamar Morgan; brothers Charles and Harold Mull; grandson Harold David Huffstetler; aunt Grace Milsap and brother-in-law, Joe Shoemaker.
A funeral service, officiated by Pastor Ray Goodson, will be held 2 pm Monday, January 22, 2018 at Good News Tabernacle, 715 Athenia Place, Bessemer City.
The family will receive friends 6 – 8 pm Sunday at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
Burial will be in Westview Gardens.
Arrangements are with the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
