Virginia Mcabee

Virginia McAbee, 90, of Gastonia, passed away June 9, 2012 at the Alexandria Place, Gastonia. She was born October 6, 1921 in Greenville County, SC, by the late James Willie and Lindsay Beatrice McAllister. Mrs. McAbee was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church in Dallas. A funeral service will be held 3:00 pm on Tuesday at Greene Funeral Service, West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052, officiated by Pastor Chris Doster. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment is at Gaston Memorial Park, Gastonia. She is survived by: her sons, Wendell McAbee and spouse Chae of Kings Mountain, Bobby McAbee and spouse Jan of Edgemont, NC; daughter, Mary Beane of Kings Mountain; brother, Charles Raymond McAlister and spouse Fanny of Gastonia; sisters Audray Montez Harris of Gastonia, Shirley Ruth Webb and spouse Jack of Beaumont, CA; 15 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and numerous great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by: her husband, Glenn McAbee, her son, Wayne McAbee; 2 brothers; 4 sisters. In lieu of flowers memorials may be sent to Gaston Hospice, P.O.
