Virginia Herrin Kirkpatrick

Cramerton Virginia Herrin Kirkpatrick, 73, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at her residence. She was born August 28, 1940 in Gaston County, daughter of the late Gomer Fidel Herrin and Alice Bailey Herrrin. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her brother, Dean Herrin; sister, Neata Mae Herrin; and her great-granddaughter, Carly Watts. She is survived by her loving husband of over 25 years, Garrett Kirkpatrick of the home; children, Michelle Evans and husband Larry of Cramerton, Kevin Kirkpatrick and Fiancé Sherry Charles of McAdenville, Tony Kirkpatrick of Lowell, Stephanie Perella and husband Chris of Arizona, Teresa Jackson and husband Mike of Ohio, and Steve Kirkpatrick of Ohio; brother, James Herrin of Gastonia; sister, Janie Perry of Kings Mountain; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Kirkpatrick was retired from Pharr Yarns after almost 40 years of service. A family gathering will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, at 22 Groves St. in Cramerton.
