Virginia Rhyne Hunter

Virginia Hunter, 83, of Bessemer City, passed away November 16, 2012 at Lincoln Nursing Center, Lincolnton. She was born September 12, 1929 in Iredell County, daughter of the late William Ernest Hunter Sr. and Maude Rhyne Hunter. A funeral service will be held 11:00 Friday at Greene Funeral Service - West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Rd. Gastonia, NC 28052, officiated by Rev. Libby Toler. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City. Miss. Hunter was an active lifetime member of Garrison Memorial ARP Church in Bessemer City until her health declined. She is survived by: her brother, William Ernest Hunter Jr. of Mooresville; sister, Catherine Hunter Ross of Bessemer City; nephews, David Ross, Eddie Murray, Miles and Giles Hunter; nieces, Judy Sosebee, Phyllis Ross, Marilyn Wooten. In addition her parents, she is preceded in death by: her sister, Jean Hunter Murray.
