Virginia Earle

Virginia Louise Kerley Earle, 72, of Gastonia, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Harris Regional Hospital in Sylva, NC.

Born on October 5, 1949, in Cox County, TN, she was the daughter of the late J.C. and Oma Ellison Kerley.

Virginia had spent the last two months of her life with her loving sister Betty Watson. She was a very generous and giving person, who donated to numerous charities. Virginia was a member of Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Bessemer City. She loved to watch the Hallmark Channel, the shopping network, and her favorite movie Dirty Dancing. Virginia loved her dog Junior. She had a sweet tooth and was known for not being the best of drivers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Richard Earle and her brother, George Allen Kerley.

Left to cherish Virginia's memories are her children, Tim Earle, Mark Earle (Cheryl), Nina Shugart and Tanya Lunsford (Jason); grandchildren, Crystal Earle, A.J Earle, Caitlin Earle, Jimmy Sweet, Jonathan Sweet, J. P. Chapman (Ashley), Austin Earle, April Chambers (Scottie) and Sydney Shugart; three great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Watson (John) and Gladys Morris (Rick); and brothers, Claude Kerley (Brenda) and Ray Kerley (Aggie).

Private graveside to be held at Mt. Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Bessemer City.

The family asks that social distancing observed and masks be worn at the service.
