Viola Jones Gibbie, 91, of Gastonia, passed away May 1, 2017, at the Robin Johnson Hospice House, Dallas.
She was born March 4, 1926, in Cherokee County, NC, daughter of the late Dewey Gay Jones and Laura Mae Phillips Jones.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Independent Baptist Tabernacle Church 2128 Dallas-Cherryville Hwy. Dallas, officiated by Pastor Ralph Carver.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Arrangements are with the West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service and Crematorium, Gastonia.
