Victoria "Vickie" Nix

Victoria "Vickie" Nix, 89, of Gastonia, passed away July 11, 2012, at Gaston Memorial Hospital. She was born April 28, 1923 in Rutherford County, NC, daughter of the late S.M. and Stella Lanning Nix. Miss Nix was a member of Victory Baptist Church, Gastonia. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff and caregivers of Belaire Health Care Center, for their compassionate care of Vickie during her stay at their facility. A funeral service will be held 2 pm on Saturday at Greene Funeral Service, South Chapel, 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, officiated by Rev. Rex Adkins. The family will receive friends 1-2 pm prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Interment will be private. She is survived by: sisters, Ruby Sisk of Gastonia, Nell Gilreath of Charlotte, Betty Lynch of Gastonia, Patsy Howe and her husband, Donald of Gastonia; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: sisters, Ethel Walker, Agnes Boughman, Nora Nix. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, P. O.
