Vickie Joyce McAllister

Vickie Joyce McAllister, a loving mother, grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2026, at the age of 80. Born in Gastonia, North Carolina, on June 16, 1946, Vickie embraced life with open arms and a heart full of love.

She leaves behind a tapestry of family and friends who will carry her spirit with them always. Vickie is survived by her devoted daughter, Cheryl Teague (Gary Teague II); her beloved grandchildren, Kelsea Bryan (Alex Bryan) and Meagan Church (David Church); and her cherished great-grandchildren, as well as her brothers, Joe, David, Larry, and Randy Parker, and sisters, Dianne McAllister and Gail Parker. Vickie also treasures the fond memories shared with many nieces and nephews.

A lifetime member of Davis Memorial Baptist Church, Vickie's faith was as steadfast as the mountains she loved to explore with her husband. She found joy not only in prayer but in every moment spent with family, especially during the joyful celebrations that Christmas brought each year. Known for her spontaneity, she would stop whatever she was doing to offer a prayer to friends and strangers alike, reflecting her deep compassion and connection to others.

Vickie's passions included riding alongside her husband, exploring the world of yard sales, and the simple yet profound pleasure of being surrounded by her loved ones. As she journeys into eternity, her strength and faith will forever echo in the hearts of those she touched.

Visitation Will be held on Sunday 9/6/2026 at 12:30 PM at Davis Memorial Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at 1:30pm at Davis Memorial Baptist Church. The service will be officiated by Reverend Gary Teague II.
