Vernon Kent Godfrey, 59, of Lowell passed away August 17, 2018 at his residence.
He was born June 5, 1959 in Gaston County the son of the late Robert Richard Godfrey and Geraldine Jenkins Godfrey.
Vernon is survived by his daughters, Nicole Skipper, Tosa Wall; brothers, Wayne Godfrey, Billy Meeks, Donnie Morton and Peanut Morton; and sisters, Susan Crotts, Sandra Moore, Cynthia Meeks and Tracy Meeks.
A funeral service will be held 2 pm Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Greene Funeral Service – South Chapel – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia.
The family will receive friends 1 - 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
Burial will be in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Kings Mountain.
